Architectural Guide Sub-Saharan Africa, published by Berlin-based DOM Publishers, is a groundbreaking anthology, bringing together more than 300 international authors, including leading architects from Africa and beyond, with the goal of presenting the richness and diversity of the Sub Saharan African built environment, through the most comprehensive documentation of the region's buildings across all architectural periods.
Using this compendium as a basis for the discussion, two of the publication's editors will discuss re-framing theory and presentation of Sub-Saharan Africa's architectural landscapes, delving into the driving factors behind the almost 7-year journey between this book's conception and completion. The discussion will provide insight into unique aspects of this publication, and formulate new directions in the presentation and relevance of this region's architectural wealth and heritage.
This program is free and open to all. RSVP below. All registered participants will be sent a link.
